Project Life 2012 | Week 2

I did a bit more out of the box with Week 2.  I used my Silhouette Cameo, a baseball card protector & of course LOTS of pictures!

The first page has alot of journaling thanks to the baseball sheet I added in!  I had one extra block even so I pulled out my Cameo to create the Play-Doh image.

I googled around until I found a picture of the Play-Doh logo that was clear enough to trace within Silhouette Studio and after cleaning up the trace a bit I used Sketch Pens to trace the image.  Then I pulled out my Stampin’ Up! markers & colored in the dark red area.  I meant to cut it out the right size to just slip into the pocket, but I think I used the baseball card size instead of where it was actually going….. but I actually like the striped layer behind it better anyway.  Mistakes are awesome sometimes!

Here is the baseball sheet protector.  I had ALOT of pictures this week.  So rather than choose I printed more.  I used Bazzill Paper again to make a journaling tag to fit & also to make labels for the edges of a few pictures.  I cut the labels & rounded the corners before adhering them…. if you want to copy this, adhere them & then round the picture & label together to get a better result.

Can you tell Play-Doh playe da large part this week?  It’s everywhere!

We also had not-quite-our-first-snow…. not quite because it wasn’t enough to “count” in the weather world.  For a little guy like mine it counted though.  We headed outside in PJ’s BEFORE breakfast to play!  Good thing too because it wasn’t around for very long.

A close-up of the photo labels.

I used my Cameo again to make the SWIM title here.  I added a few details in my own handwriting lower on the card.

I hope you are enjoying these!  I am enjoying the fact that every week or two I force myself to sit down at the computer to go through pictures & do all of my picking and post-processing which includes uploading them for the Grandparents to look at & print.  Every month or so I sit down & edit them into printable 4x6s (for the vertical pictures I combine 2 to a 4×6 print or a few more to a 12×12 if I am printing the baseball sheet like this week).  Considering I STILL haven’t printed anything from 2011 except the 12×12 finished pages & my December Daily prints that’s a huge step forward for me!
